I recently took up this rug hooking hobby, and eventually want to be able to do a rug of my rescue dogs, who are Bichons. Elizabeth Black is truly the most talented person on earth when it comes to hooking animals. Her rugs look more like paintings than something you would ever put on the floor. Each picture was inspiring and so motivating. The book has individual chapters on the steps involved; hooking different parts of the animals; how to choose backing, wool, and color choices.There simply IS no other book to buy if you're interested in the "wild side" of rug hooking. My dream is to one day attend one of her classes and have my own Elizabeth Black-designed Bichon rug.Buy this book. Then see what a really talented artist can do with strips of wool.
