I must have misunderstood what this book was when I purchased it. I was trying to find a book on how to photograph babies. It is a book to help you start a photography business. It is very well written for what its purpose is. If I were to open a photography business than this is a book that I would definitely use to assist me.
I started my children's photography business approximately a year ago, and have purchased well over 20 photography books, both for business and for inspiration. This book covers everything from what to charge, how to target (and treat) the customers you are looking for, ideas I hadn't even thought of and so much more! Her suggestions regarding setting up a studio are so informative, I believe I could start today and know exactly what would need to be done. The images provided in the book are as beautiful as they are informative. Mimika Cooney knows this business inside and out and has done a WONDERFUL job sharing it with others.
This was a gift purchase and the recipient absolutely loves it. She is getting into baby and maternity photography as a business. This book has given her lots of tips and pointers to being successful in the business.

This is a wonderful resource. I will go back to it when I need to update or if I'm needing some encouragement in the boutique photography. Whether you are a newbie or a photographer needing some new education this is a great book to read and memorize. I would recommend for any type of photographer wanting to change their style, update and give more to their business or just need a little inspiration.
Was hoping for something unique, but this book is the bare basics of baby photography. You can find the same basic info on YouTube.
