Concise & hilarious... Two words that seem oddly opposed for an instruction manual but Frankie NAILS it! Get this book if you're:1) a blocked writer who doesn't know where to start.2) taking any English class post 6th grade3) need an outline ....PERIODI bought it because I had read several 'help' books for book publishing, all of which had been fairly worthless, & I was planning on debunk reviewing them all!This purchase was a huge surprise. After all, for under a $buck I wasn't expecting much....However, This GEM is should be in everyone's English writing skills arsenal. Totally enjoyable read.

Your attitude, repetition and consistency are motivational. It is a good easy read reinforcing and encouraging writing habits. I just watched "The curious case of Benjamin Buttons" and was and was able to see the challenges of the writing. I was reinforced by your comments pertaining to the idea that most writers have written more then one BK, and I have an obligation to work on a Memoir as well as something pertaining to a family tragedy. The most manageable and least intimidating way to approach a project is to divide it into smaller, manageable 'chunks'. It is best to flesh each 'chunk' and then further divide and flesh out again. That is how I managed to write my Master's thesis, and that is how the author advises here too.
I like it because it is simple, and it gave me some good things to think about while writing my book. Just one of the ideas can be so valuable. For exaple, the idea that I need to tell about my background so that the audience can understand where the information is coming from, and the idea to give the reader the what's in it for me? answer are important points I could have forgotten. Plus the 37 outlines that I can adapt for my book makes this a good book to buy.
As an amateur writer, I find myself writing outlines and in depth book ideas frequently. Unfortunately, I often over think the process and procrastinate due to the desire of perfection. Frankie's book breaks down how simple it is to just go for it and takes the pressure of perfection off. This book gives one the courage to go ahead and put your thoughts into action. I've learned that ones perception of perfection may be boring. It's okay to break the rules, be yourself, and simply share your views and advice within your topic of interest. Off to writing I go!
The nonfiction outline book was very informative. I am an aspiring writer myself and this book gave me the courage that I needed to at least finish my first book. The outlines are very helpful. I tend too write more when using a pen and pad, with that being said; this book was refreshing knowing that good old fashioned pen and paper was one of the strategies as well. Overall, the book was really cool, just wish the writer expanded more on how to piece the thick paragraphs together. But I guess that is why the writer the suggested "reading tons of books on the subject that you are writing about." LolHappy Writing everyone.
I liked the tight writing and the quality I was given. The author is up to date with her information and not just rehashing old concepts that I see too often. As a writer myself I want to learn from someone that truly wants to help their fellow writer and not just out to take our money. I am a fiction writer and being as though this is my first time writing a nonfiction book I want some help and I’m very thankful I’ve come to the right place and found the right author.
Short and to the point. I cannot imagine anyone not being to put together at least a draft of a non-fiction book after a first read of this book. I have many outline books in my Kindle folder and I will likely use this one the most. Thanks.
